a kind heart

One Sunday afternoon several years ago my son and I were at the NASCAR race here in our town when I passed out and fell down some stairs.  It was scary and painful.  I still have the proof on my right leg of the fall. Over the next month I went to the doctor several times, had tests run and never found out anything that was wrong or that would have made me pass out.  Especially all the tests on my heart came back fine. Our hearts are a very important part of our bodies.  Without a heart that functions properly our health will deteriorate.  The same is true for our spiritual lives.  Our heart says much about us. recent threats

No system is perfect.   Lots and lots of businesses, organizations and families have flaws.   But have you ever tried to find the good in people or in difficult situations? This week has been a difficult one for our community.   On Monday a bomb threat was reported at one of our local high schools, and yesterday a threat was found at the middle school near us.   In both situations the schools were evacuated.   These are difficult situations that many, many people have had to deal.   Above all and first I want to say how proud I am of our county school and their response to this effort.   Also local law enforcement and others did an excellent job.   As a parent, a community member, a concerned situation and a friend I am grateful that our students were well cared for and safe throughout the situation.
