  Today I return to an old theme.  Pray for Cuba.  I have shared it before and will many more times, and with the current situation in that country, prayers and support are needed in greater ways. Today I get to share why Cuba once again with some great people in our community.  Another of our team is sharing in Branson, Missouri with another group of leaders.  Please pray for these presentations around noon, but even more pray for the ministry, our friends and for what is needed for survival both here and in eternity.  It really is for the gospel and His call on my life and on others.   Cuba is on my mind.  That is not a new thing.  It is an every day thing.  I get to return there in the fall.  Another friend arrives today in Cuba.  We choose to support the work with sports ministry and various churches all for the sake of the gospel.   Psalm 2:8  NLT  Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritanc...

  I got back late Friday night from Cuba.  It was a wonderful trip full of adventure as well as seeing what God is doing with the sports ministry in Cuba.  Looking back it really is amazing and I am grateful for all the people who make this ministry and these trips possible. 1 Thessalonians 1:2  NLT   We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly. There are several people who give and help for each and every trip I take, and I want to say a huge THANK YOU.  Without these friends and faithful believers this would not be possible.  Furthermore, people would not hear the Gospel or have an opportunity to see the hand of God in and on their lives. Then there are the people and workers in Cuba who day in and out are making this ministry a priority and possible.  Thank you to the staff across the country, the families of each FCA staff member and all the supports across Cuba that love Jesus and know that He is the truth.   I am really enjoying the study of Nehemiah in our series called “reBuilding” as yesterday we talked about the time to work on the wall and deal with the people who were against them. Let’s start the week with the understanding of what is our responsibility.  If we lived in Jerusalem at the time of Nehemiah, what would be required of us?  It is pretty simple First is to answer the question of what is in front of you?  Take a hard look at what you look at what is in and be honest about what you you find.  It is easier to focus somewhere else or someone else.  It is easier to see their problems and mistakes rather than dealing with our own.  It is tough to deal with your own issue or problems.   Second our work is to encourage the people around us.  Who is next to you or who is your neighbor?  You should know them and note your relationship with them all the while knowing that you are to be an example and encouragement to each person arou...
