  Have you ever been overwhelmed by how much God loves you and what He has done for you?  Most of us who choose to walk with Jesus find ourselves at that place, overwhelmed by the goodness of God.   Psalm 34:8  NLT   Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! What does the goodness of God look like?  Well, the answer to that depends on your perspective. The goodness of God looks like a new mom holding a brand new baby and taking in the sweet moments. The goodness of God looks like brothers and sisters who recently went through losing their home to a fire but now getting what they need for the school year. The goodness of God looks like a couple who just got married and beginning to settle in together to life and what God is doing with them. The goodness of God looks like chasing two precious little girls around the fountain as the giggle and scream in the middle of a hotel in a foreign country after waiting for several hours to check in.   I am going to revisit in this e-devotion some of the most important verses we might ever talk about.  They come up in conversations about faith and living with purpose.  Why is that?  It is because I think these are powerful reminders of who we are and of what God has done for us. November is always a time of giving thanks as well as the celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday.  Maybe you have watched the last several years how some people take each day and share what they are thankful for. I have done that.  But more often I will simply focus on being thankful, thinking about what gratitude looks like and how it works in my life.  It does.  Being thankful changes us.  It will change how we see things.  It will change how we respond to others and to our struggles. Thankfulness gives us a view of God that is more clear and most likely more accurate than at any other time.  I pray we will find ourselves being thankful even when we aren’t thinking about it. It is hard to see.  With a sickness in your eyes or even a blurry mind, it is hard to see.  Even stress and worry get in the way of our being able to see at times.   Then there are outside issues that hinder our ability to see.  This might be fog or even a brick wall.  It could be mountains or maybe the head of the person sitting in front of you. There are many reasons for the lack of sight, yet our God gives us the ability. He has also healed some people, as the Bible says, who couldn’t see.  What is keeping you from literally being able to see?  What is keeping you from Spiritually being able to see?
