Dialup, T-1, Cable, or Broadband. Which is the best connection to the internet? I have my idea, but you may have another. The one I want is to be well connected. I hate it when it is slow. That's worst. No, no connection is the big dog that I hate.
Being connected to God is similar to those interent connections. Some people are barely connected. They know about God, know just enough. Some people are well connected because they have known Him for years or never known any thing different. Others are inseperable. That is where I want to be.
No, I am not talking about the ability to leave or be away from God. What I am talking about is how you and I connect with God.
We connect with God through so many ways. Nature, the Bible, Prayers, Church, family or friends and other ways, too. Fact is, we need to be connected to God.
In an article I read this week in Discipleship Journal (the theme of the most recent version is Time with God) a writer said that she at one time began to feel that a personal relationship with God is not real. Maybe you could say that, as I can. That relationship is not something you work up. It is something that comes with time with our God. Hearing from God means we are tuned into His Spirit.
John 10:27 (nlt) --- My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
If you had to give your connection with God a level, what would it be? Dialup or broadband. Slow or fact. Real or not. Connected or disconnected. Be honest.
Psalm 27:7-8 (nlt) --- Hear me as I pray, O Lord. Be merciful and answer me! My heart has heard you say, "Come and talk with me." And my heart responds, "L ord, I am coming."
Jeremiah 33:3 (nlt) --- Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.
