John 10:10 (msg) ---A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.
That rascal shows up way to much, and we let him get away with murder or whatever he wants. We are OK with that. Maybe we don't say it on the outside, but our actions speak that fact pretty loud.

Have you ever watched a person that is content to stay where they are? Or maybe they have been deceived to think one thing when it couldn't be further from the truth. I think it is time for a gentle reminder of what God has taught us and about how we are to angle ourselves toward the thief:
Satan is a master-mind, successful thief ...
John 8:44 (nlt) --- For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.
1 John 2:11 (nlt) --- But the one who hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
Matthew 6:19 (nasb) --- Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
2 Corinthians 11:3 (nasb) --- But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.
There is more, but I think you get the point. So, what are we to do about this problem? How are to we to focus on God and angle ourselves against Satan?
1 Peter 5:8 (nlt) --- Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
Ephesians 6:11 (nasb) --- Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
This E-Devotion is a reminder that Satan's goal is to steal from us and to get our eyes off of God and the vision that He has given us. I challenge you to guard your heart, your mind and your family. I challenge you to clarify and remember the calling and vision that God has given you. Why? Satan wants to keep us pitiful and powerless. How does he do that? He does it as the thief strikes again.
Don't let him steal from you!
