the bigness of God's love [+] Wednesday E-Devotion

Disclaimer: this is not a commentary on the election, who was elected.  Sharing my heart!  That's my plan.

Maybe you have noticed, as I have, that Satan continues to hit the places where we are weak and where we are passionate.  I have been praying the last two weeks for some specific people and relationships to be healed.  What we have to understand is that we have to gird ourselves, prepare ourselves and focus on letting God protect us.

Do you get where I am coming from?  When we see the depth and sweetness of God's love it makes a huge difference in our thoughts, our actions and in our relationships.

Here is a quote from one of my favorite authors and speakers, Frances Chan :

"Do you realize that God loves you and wants restoration in this relationship more than you do?  This is something we never really think about.  Don't you see from scripture that God loves you more than you love him?  The lack of peace that you feel because of the sin in your life.  You say 'man i want to be right with God.'  Well guess who wants that even more.  God wants that relationship reconciled.  So much of my christian life i didn't think about that, but that is the obvious! of course God loves me more.  Look at what he did.  He's the one who went after me."

Chan's book, Crazy Love , has wrecked me.  I have been praying for a series that will be shared at The Community in December and January that will talk about the bigness of God's love.

So, I ask that you spend a few minutes today, Wednesday, focusing on God's love AND THEN applying some of that to the people you love.  Get it?  Thanks and I am praying for you to get it...
