Yesterday I gave you a quote from Frances Chan. Today lets dig into a couple pieces of that quote and ask God to make our relationships and our lives powerful tools for him.
Here is how that is gonna go. The quote, a scripture, a question and nothing from me. That ought to throw things off a bit and let God do the speaking (at least that is what I am praying for). Here we go:
loves you and wants restoration in this relationship more than you do
2 Thessalonians 3:3 (nlt) --- But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.
lack of peace that you feel because of the sin
James 4:7-10 (nlt) --- 7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. 9 Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.
He's the one who went after me.
2 Corinthians 5:15 (nlt) --- He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.
Frances Chan wrote a book titled Crazy Love that continues to be one of my favorites as I re-read and prepare to know and live to demonstrate the love of God to the people I encounter (inside and outside the places I live).
