got questions?

Jeremiah 33:3 (NASB) --- ' Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'

If you could have any question answered about anything of life or of faith, what would it be?  I have lots of questions for God.  Some are like: why is D-Day or 911 have to happen? or why did that sweet Christian lady have to suffer with cancer? or how can I guard better my relationship with my wife?

Those questions and hundreds of others come to mind and come up in conversations often.  Does that happen for you?  If so, you may be able to help us with our next series at The Community.

Gather your questions.  Think them through.  Then email them to this address: questions@thecommunityfellowship.org.  Just so you will know, these questions WON'T go to me.  I won't get your email and all of our people won't know who asked the questions.  One of our team, Cindy Hall, will receive your email (you can also call her or chat with her privately if you like) and pass it along with the others that are received.

The next 5 weeks we will dig into some interesting and even some scary topics (and yes, some that I am not quite too sure of as of yet).  I don't have all the answers, but God has those answers.  It is my heart to share with you that we have a gracious God who wants our faith to get stronger and our connection with Him to be real and vital to our lives.  I pray this will strengthen all of us.  Will you help us?  Even if you don't attend church at The Community, will you help us?

I cannot wait to see what God is going to do next.  It is going to be awesome.  In the conversations that I have had in the last 5 days, it is evident that God is about to birth some cool and new things around us.  Are you looking for that?  I am.  It is not all at The Community either.  Some of it is.  Some of it is in Nashville, TN.  Some is in south Georgia.  Some is in Tulsa.  Some is in California.  What is true is this ... God is at work, and we must join Him.  Are you ready?

If you have questions, send them our way.  If you are ready for God to move, watch what He does and join in what He is doing!

Ephesians 3:20 (NASB) --- Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

Isaiah 43:19 (NASB) --- Behold, I will do something new,Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.

Have you heard of EDITH BURNS?

Edith Burns was a wonderful Christian who lived in San Antonio, Texas . She was the patient of a doctor by the name of Will Phillips. Dr. Phillips was a gentle doctor who saw patients as people. His favorite patient was Edith Burns.  One morning he went to his office with a heavy heart and it was because of Edith Burns.  When he walked into that waiting room, there sat Edith with her big black Bible in her lap earnestly talking to a young mother sitting beside her.  Edith Burns had a habit of introducing herself in this way: "Hello, my name is Edith Burns.  Do you believe in Easter?" Then she would explain the meaning of Easter, and many times people would be saved.  Dr. Phillips walked into that office and there he saw the head nurse, Beverly. Beverly had first met Edith when she was taking her blood pressure. Edith began by saying,"My name is Edith Burns. Do you believe in Easter?"  Beverly said, "Why yes I do."  Edith said, "Well, what do you ...

wash feet, sharing hope

John 13:4-5,14 NLT  So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, 5 and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel he had around him… 14 And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet. Jesus set the example we follow.  He served.  He valued and gave value to others.  That is why we choose to serve. For 18 years our church has shared an outreach called back2school, and for 16 of those years we have chosen to give students brand new shoes and socks as well as washing their feet.  It is one of the most important parts of this event. Washing feet is a humbling experience where both the give and the receiver learn how to share some moments that might change their lives.  Jesus said we should do this.  See the verse above.  Follow His example, do what He did, and give far more than you will ever know....
