As we drove down the Pacific Coast Highway last Sunday evening the waves were awesome. The east coast is so different from the west. We stopped a few times just to take pictures and watch the waves crash against the rocks. The momentum was incredible.
It is much like the momentum, or MO as i will call it, that we have when God speaks into our lives. We get excited and run toward God and with Him. Those are great moments that we want, long for and love.
Yet Satan is always trying to get our attention and to stop our momentum. Think about it.
2 Timothy 3:2-5 (NLT)
For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
Those verses remind me that when we get our priorities out of order or take our focus off of God we miss His best and lots of blessing. Plus, it will steal our momentum. My prayer is that we will let God drive us, guide us and love on us making us grow closer to Him.
Have you met MO? Have you felt the momentum and the excitement when you hear from and see God work? I see it, know it and feel it now. But I also see things trying to rip it away from me.
Do everything in your power to keep MO with you. Seek God. Watch Him work and let MO (momentum) lead you and others closer to Jesus.
I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!
