shining for Jesus

Philippians 2:13- 16 nlt
For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.  Do everything without complaining and arguing,so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ's return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless.

There is more to being a Christian than just accepting Jesus and being Saved.  God's desire for us is to have a full and purposeful life.  That only comes when we make choices and accept what God says and follow His direction.

The verses above give us promises, strength and things to accomplish as we follow God.  Knowing the truth helps us understand what God is God.  God is working.  He is working in us.  When God is working, people will see a difference in our lives.  Do people hear us complaining about life or pointing people to God?  Do people see our clean living or our warped issues?

Shining bright for God is something we can you.  You don't have to be perfect.  You simply have to be plugged into Jesus.  Hold tight to Him.  Watch for Him.  Plug into Him every day.  Shine bight today.

Do we have too much pride to allow people to see Jesus in us?

I was reading an article from a pastor that was sharing his heart for his church family and impacting his community one person at a time...
