believe God, not your feelings

We've all been deceived.  This past week was "April Fools" day, and it is possible that some of us bought into someone's lie.  I did.  But we don't have to buy into the lies that steal our lives from us.  Remember:

John 8:44

For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Who are you going to believe?  Have to answer that one.  Why is it so hard to believe what God says?  It is because it is easier to live by what we feel and not by the facts that our faith is built on.

James 2:23

And so it happened just as the Scriptures say: "Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith." He was even called the friend of God.

John 1:12

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

Dream with me for a minute.  What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?  What would you give God or do for God if you knew you would not fail?

What God says is truth.  But for most people it is easier to believe what we feel rather than what is true.  Living by faith has everything to do with trusting God who you cannot see or touch.  That is faith.  Believing our feelings means that we will waver or question and more.

Satan messes with our feelings.  Lean on feelings and you will have problems.  God gives us truth to put our faith in.  Satan cannot change the truth.  Believe what God says and don't allow Satan to mess with your feelings any more.  You are a child of God.  Live it!
