service with a smile

Have you ever noticed that you tend to go back to places you felt welcome or where you were taken good care of. In fact, the most successful service businesses are those who go out of their way to help the customer. The church is the same.

If people don't feel welcome or are not made to feel a part, they won't come back. The church ought to be the place known as 'service with a smile' or 'the saving place' or just simply a place where you feel at home. What makes that happen? It is planning. You have to plan to be friendly and go out of your way to greet others and not just greet them but pull them in. It takes planning and sincere people.

The businesses AND churches that do that well are going to grow. In fact serving others well will cover the things you don't do so well.

For instance, maybe the stuff at a particular store is a bit higher in price, but they made you feel good. You will go back. Maybe it is something else. Loving people and serving them with real care will make your business or your church successful. Think about it...

1 Peter 4:10 (nlt) --- God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

Everyone of us is gifted. Use it to love on others.

Colossians 3:22 (nlt) --- Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything you do. Try to please them all the time, not just when they are watching you. Serve them sincerely because of your reverent fear of the Lord.

Yes, we are God's kids, but we are to serve Him as a slave would and please Him big time.

2 Corinthians 6:8 (nlt) --- We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us impostors.

Service with a smile even when someone slams the door in our face, says something nasty or we just don't care for someone. God cares for them and we are to do the same.

If you are a part of The Community Fellowship, I challenge you to STEP IT UP in serving others. Maybe it is a person who is always with us, a visitor or someone who crosses your path. Serve them so they will see Jesus. That is service with a smile...

Matthew 5:16 (nlt) --- In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

I was reading an article from a pastor that was sharing his heart for his church family and impacting his community one person at a time...
