The
best gift of all is Jesus. In the last
several weeks we have had several teenagers accepted Jesus as their Savior and
have many adults seeking God in great ways.
We have been encouraged to tell our family and friends who don’t know
Jesus about Him.
Paul
was a man changed by God. He was called
to share God and his faith with a group of people who never knew Jesus. Here is His commitment:
Even though I am a free man with no master, I have
become a slave to all people to bring many to Christ. 20 When I was with the Jews, I
lived like a Jew to bring the Jews to Christ. When I was with those who follow the Jewish
law, I too lived under that law. Even though
I am not subject to the law, I did this so I could bring to Christ those who
are under the law. 21 When I
am with the Gentiles who do not follow the Jewish law, I too live apart from
that law so I can bring them to Christ. But I do not ignore the law of God; I
obey the law of Christ. 22 When
I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the
weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find
common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. 23 I do everything to spread the
Good News and share in its blessings.
What is incredible but hard to understand is that God did all
He did to give us His love. His gift of
love consumes us when we really understand it.
John 5:20
NASB
For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing; and the Father will show Him greater works than
these, so that you will marvel.
His call on our lives is to do what He says to do. Obedience to what God says brings blessings
to us and will result in even more people coming to know God. As we listen God the things we will share get
greater and greater. But the fact is we
can’t share what is from us or what we have done a part from God. We have to rely on Him.
John 5:30
NASB
I can do nothing
on My own initiative.
As I hear, I judge; and My
judgment is just, because I do not seek My
own will, but the will of Him
who sent Me.
Following what Jesus said will change us and others. Join me and others who want to share the best
gift of all this Christmas.
Matthew 4:19
NLT
Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”
