I'm not talking about the guy who wears the 2XL shirt or the size 44 pants. I'm talking about the dude who will get honest, tell it like it is, eat crow, or maybe get in your face. This guy knows what being the bigger man is all about. Is that me? Is that you?
1 Peter 5:6 (nasb)
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,

Romans 12:3 (nlt)
Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don't think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.

A knock came at the door. The dude said he came to see me just to say he was sorry...
Listening to a story of another dude that made a tough phone call, asked for forgiveness and made a relationship right...
Those are just two cases today that God has spoken to me through. You see, the bigger man will do whatever it takes to be God's man. That means being honest and thinking of yourself like God thinks of you. No more and no less. The bigger man thinks about others and how his life has touched their lives. He seeks peace and truth.
So, my question is this: is that me? Is that you? I want to be the bigger man. That's not the guy who is always one upping the other person to make himself look good. Not even the guy who is always cutting someone down or making harsh remarks.
This man has character, real character that points people to our real and powerful God. Is that you? Is that me?
I pray that we will be, you and I will be ... the bigger man.
Psalm 101:6 (nlt)
I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me.

Proverbs 11:5 (nlt)
The godly are directed by honesty; the wicked fall beneath their load of sin.
