5:05 PRAYER at new campus

You are invited to be part of our 5:05 PRAYER time at The Community Fellowship's new campus each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  We've chosen this time to pray for the future impact of The Community Fellowship and Dream Center.  It is also a great time to see what God has given us and what He is going to do in the future.

2013 is almost gone, but the blessings of this year have literally been incredible.  We must not minimize them or forget them.  Furthermore, it is time to tell others.  So here is what's happening now through January 1st.

Joshua chapter 6 talks about the time when God's people were given the city of Jericho.  They were to walk around the city for 7 days.  The first 6 times they were to walk around the city in silence, but on the 7th day they were to walk around the city and shout.  Remember it?  The walls fell as the people shouted.

God has already given us the property and building.  We now come to the Lord asking for the money and resources to finish the project so we can move to our new campus and impact more lives as we are demonstrating the love of God to our community and beyond.

There are six more times that we will have the 5:05 PRAYER time in 2013.  On each of these days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) those part of the prayer time will walk around the campus once in silence and close with a group prayer time.

On the 7th 5:05 PRAYER time from now (which will be new year's day) we will walk around the campus 7 times proclaiming the truth God has given us and shout His victory for us, His church and our community.

Will you join in on the 5:05 PRAYER time?  Read Joshua chapter 6.  Begin to pray even more that God would not only give us what we need but go past that so we can tell as many people as possible about His goodness.  Will you join me, Pastor Michael, on New Year's Day for the 5:05 PRAYER time as we claim the promises of God?

We saw God do great things in 2013.  We are going to see God do even greater things in 2014.  Are you with me?  Our theme for 2013 is ALL IN, and I believe God is preparing us for more.  As we join together...as we pray together...as we serve together...we will accomplish more and impact more lives than we have ever thought possible.

Join me and our other church leaders for the 5:05 PRAYER time each Monday, Wednesday and Friday!  See you soon.

With GOD as my guide,

Pastor Michael Harrison

PS ---- I hope to see you this Sunday, December 22nd at 10:10 as well.  It is the Sunday before Christmas, and we are going to celebrate Jesus as we do each week.  But we will also observe the Lord's Supper and have a few more surprises as well.

wash feet, sharing hope

John 13:4-5,14 NLT  So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, 5 and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel he had around him… 14 And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet. Jesus set the example we follow.  He served.  He valued and gave value to others.  That is why we choose to serve. For 18 years our church has shared an outreach called back2school, and for 16 of those years we have chosen to give students brand new shoes and socks as well as washing their feet.  It is one of the most important parts of this event. Washing feet is a humbling experience where both the give and the receiver learn how to share some moments that might change their lives.  Jesus said we should do this.  See the verse above.  Follow His example, do what He did, and give far more than you will ever know....

Have you heard of EDITH BURNS?

Edith Burns was a wonderful Christian who lived in San Antonio, Texas . She was the patient of a doctor by the name of Will Phillips. Dr. Phillips was a gentle doctor who saw patients as people. His favorite patient was Edith Burns.  One morning he went to his office with a heavy heart and it was because of Edith Burns.  When he walked into that waiting room, there sat Edith with her big black Bible in her lap earnestly talking to a young mother sitting beside her.  Edith Burns had a habit of introducing herself in this way: "Hello, my name is Edith Burns.  Do you believe in Easter?" Then she would explain the meaning of Easter, and many times people would be saved.  Dr. Phillips walked into that office and there he saw the head nurse, Beverly. Beverly had first met Edith when she was taking her blood pressure. Edith began by saying,"My name is Edith Burns. Do you believe in Easter?"  Beverly said, "Why yes I do."  Edith said, "Well, what do you ...
