When we have problems with
our eyes, there are all kinds of issues that come with it. You have
trouble doing almost anything from driving to eating and even balance and more.
This kind of health problem makes us realize how much we take seeing for
granted.
Ephesians 1:18 NASB
I pray that
the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what
is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance
in the saints,
It's in times and seasons
like this that I often pray that God would open my eyes and open the eyes
of my family and my church family.
God, open my eyes to ...
TO SEE YOU, GOD. How
many people have not or can not see God? Every day we are blessed in big
ways by God. Yet our thoughts and even our hearts won't allow us to
acknowledge God. No, we have not seen Him in flesh and blood. But
we can and must see what he does and what His goodness places around us.
Notice God today, and I pray that He will open our eyes to see Him.
God, open my eyes to
...
TO SEE HURTING PEOPLE.
We pass them on the street, sit next to them in class or at the office or
even at church. And we never notice their hurt, pain and need. Some
of us might be see them but turn and look the other way. I pray when we
have a need that people won't only see us but will come to our rescue.
How about you? I ask God that during this Christmas we will be
generous to share ourselves and our resources to those we encounter who are
hurting. I pray that you will open our eyes, God, to the people around us
who are hurting.
God, open my eyes to ...
TO SEE MIRACLES.
These happen every day. You and I may call them insignificant, yet
nothing could be further from the truth. Those miracles such as life and
breath. Miracles such as kindness and life change. Miracles that
might happen to us, around us and right in front of our faces. We live in
a day and in an economic time that God is answering prayers and meeting needs
daily. Those are daily miracles. I pray that God opens our eyes to
see the miracles He does.
Luke 4:18 NLT
The Spirit of the
Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will
be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be
set free,
That
is what Jesus does. He sets people free. As God opens my eyes and
yours, things change and we will praise God. Pray that He will open our
eyes today.
