Throughout
Jesus’ time on earth He made many references to his connection to His father. There were times when He would go away to
pray and spend time with the father.
Jesus said that what He did and all He said was what the father told him
to do.
This
connection was one of the greatest things we can learn in the Bible and for the
Christian life. Jesus went to and died
on the cross because His father, our heavenly father, had a plan to save those
who would follow Him. The cross and His
connection to the father allowed the changes our lives and the forgiveness of
our sin.
I have
been blessed with a great dad, but some of you are not so fortunate. Our understanding of the father allows us to see
and connect to God.
John 8:28 NLT
So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son
of Man on the cross, then you will understand that I Am he. I do nothing on my
own but say only what the Father taught me.
John 14:7 NLT
If you had
really known me, you would know
who my Father is. From now on,
you do know him and have seen
him!”
Having
a great relationship with your father will make your life sweeter. We must allow God is be our father and allow
Him to work in and through our lives. To
believe what God says about us changes us in every way we can imagine.
