I close out the week with a shorter
than normal devotion built around a simply phrase that has run through my mind
a lot this week. It’s amazing. I am referring to the things that I have seen
God do this week.
It all started with a young man
accepting Jesus last Sunday at church.
We have been praying for him, for Josh, for a good while. A bit later in the week Josh texted me a
message that his children’s mother is close to accepting Jesus as well. This really is amazing.
Our team, including several
volunteers, have been preparing for the arrival of a mission team that will be
framing walls at our new campus next week.
I have walked through the building many times. The word “WOW” has come out of my mouth
often. It really is amazing. God is making our dreams come true and
positioning our church to be able to bless more and more people.
Publish his
glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.
Psalm 111:2 NLT
How amazing are the deeds of the Lord! All
who delight in him should ponder them.
Habakkuk 3:2 NLT
I have heard
all about you, Lord. I am filled with awe by your amazing works. In this time of our deep need, help us again as you
did in years gone by. And in your anger, remember your mercy.
God is doing so much. It is incredible to see the lives He is
changing. It is one at a time as we
count, but it really is all over the world that God is at work. As followers of God we are to acknowledge
what God has done and tell others too.
I am amazed at the way He loves me
and others.
I am amazed at the miracles He does.
I am amazed at how God gets the
attention of people.
I am amazed at His grace and how He
extends it so much.
May God use us to help others know
His amazing love and all that the truth God reveals. By walking closer to our God we will be
amazed even more. What God is doing
around us to telling others the same.
It’s amazing!
Acts 4:13 NLT
The members
of the council were amazed when
they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were
ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized
them as men who had been with Jesus.
Thank you for your prayers and
support as our church grows and our new campus is prepared for our move their
in the future. If you would like to help
with the evening meals or in any other way, let me know.
