I recently shared a song
with you that asked a question of God.
The answer was simple and profound.
The song is Matthew West’s Do
Something where God is asked “why don’t you do something” about the pain
and hurt in our world. In turn God
answers “I did, I created you”.
That is the fact of our
purpose in the world. God fills us and
blesses us so that we can share with others.
Our lives are intended to make a difference in the world, in the lives
of the people that we come in contact with.
Life is not intended to be lived selfishly or without purpose. God fills us with purpose and points us in a
various directions to share and influence people.
The song goes on to say “If
not us, then who. If not me and you,
right now is the time for us to do something.”
What is it that God is calling you to do so that you will be making a
difference in the lives of the people you come in contact with?
Psalm 112:9 NLT
They share freely and give generously to those in need.
Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor.
In 3 days our mission team will travel to
Nicaragua, and we will be serving several rural villages. What is cool about this project is we get to
partner with a ministry that does very similar work to what our church does in
our community. It is our desire to demonstrate
the love of God to our community through meeting needs of the people we
come in contact with no strings attached.
By meeting needs we win the right to share Jesus with the people we
serve. What an honor it is to serve.

JEANNIE. STEVE. TRACY.
MORIAH. CHINA. GEORGE.
TINA. MEGAN. CAROLYN.
MICHAEL. BETSY. That’s our team, and it has been awesome
watching God prepare us. He put us
together. I cannot wait to see what God
does.
As I shared earlier this week, we must be
spiritually ready and be flexible.
Please pray that God will protect us and provide what we need as well
use us to share His love with others. We
believe this will be a life changing trip for us and for those we will serve.
Colossians 1:6 NLT
This same Good News that came to you is
going out all over the world. It is
bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives,
just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and
understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace.
