what seeds are you planting? |
The wisdom of
God is so different from human wisdom.
There are huge gaps between the two.
God’s wisdom depends on faith whereas human wisdom depends strength or
logic that often looses momentum.
What we have to realize is wrong
motives as well as bitterness or jealousy, the next verses join those, will
remove faith possibilities and power from our lives. What are you planting in your life and in the
lives of the people around you.
These verses are pretty plain. Wisdom from God breeds peace, is pure and
contains boatloads of mercy as well we as others things. That means that our lives should overflow
with God’s best and His wisdom. May that
be seen through us being people of peace who spread mercy.

If you are
wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing
good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition
in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. 15 For jealousy and selfishness
are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and
demonic. 16 For wherever
there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil
of every kind. 17 But the
wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all
times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of
good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. 18 And those who are peacemakers
will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.
It
was a great honor tonight to sit and listen to the almost 50 members of the
mission team from Mississippi working on our new campus. Their teaching and testimonies overflowed
with the wisdom of God. Listening to
those with wisdom and the elder team members teaching the younger ones were
incredible. In turn listening to the younger
team members encourage the older ones was a picture of how the family of God is
to future.
This
team is planting seeds of peace that will bring a harvest of righteousness. It really is amazing to be part of something
bigger than we are. What seeds are you
planting?
