When you stand outside of the Christmas story, you have to be like others who have questioned. You might be like Thomas after Jesus was crucified. You might be like Joseph in the middle of the story. You might be like the shepherds.
Some one influenced all of those. That person was God with the truth. But when we choose to believe this story, everything will change. Jesus moves in, He takes possession, and Jesus removes doubt and puts in destiny. God takes our fear and replaces it with faith. The emptiness before Jesus becomes joy and then abundance that only God can give.
Isaiah 7:14 NASB
Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.
Immanuel is with us. Immanuel is God with us. Came in the form of a baby. This story will and has continued through time. This story and the voices of Christmas change everything for you and me.
It is 10 days until the day we know as Christmas, December 25th. That is the day that we celebrate every year, but as we have heard for a long time Christmas ought to be celebrated every day for believers.
Matthew 1:21 NASB
She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.
I pray our celebration is a sincere journey to help us and others know the Savior who covers our sins, who changes our lives and lives with us, His people, for eternity. Christmas is representative of the best gift ever given.
