It is the
middle of the week, and it is a busy week for our family as we prepare for our
middle daughter’s graduation and a bunch of family coming to town to join the
celebration. So, I thought I would put
together some one-liners that have meant much to me over the past few weeks.
Read on and enjoy.
Further, I pray God uses these to inspire us to go deeper with Him.
--- It is often in our quietest times with God that He speaks the loudest
and our lives change the most.
---
Balance in our Christian lives comes
better when we spend time in silence rather in society…
--- God comforts us in times of
trouble and beyond. The reason we have this awesome comfort and strength
in our lives is so we comfort others.
--- The fact is partnerships make
me, our church and others much stronger. Partnerships bring glory to God
as we work together and not worry about who gets the credit.
---
we aren’t
living the life God wants us to live because we don’t have confidence that God
intends for us to have.
--- "He is no fool who
gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose." Jim Eliott …
Are we willing to give up anything so that others may live?
--- God says keep on asking. But ask with a plan. That plan
goes well when we are doing what we do to serve others. The visitor
wasn’t asking for food for himself. His request was for someone else.
--- Prayer often changes the one who is praying. We could be
praying that someone else changes or moves out of our way only to find out that
God does what He does best by changing us to be more like Jesus.
--- God deserves our best. He deserves our heart. Being
generous denotes a life that has made God the center and His work the priority
of it all. I am praying for people who will become a “harvest of
generosity in you”.
Now all glory to God,
who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy
into his glorious presence without a single fault.
