The verdict is
in. These things are true. Whether we believe them or not, whether we
read them in the Bible or not, these are all true. Knowing the truth and holding the truth will
change our lives
As you read the following verses I will realize that
we will not agree on everything, but I pray we will agree that Jesus is the
only answer. Read on…
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and
the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
For you are God,
O Sovereign Lord. Your words are truth,
and you have promised these good things to your servant.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend
on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you
which path to take.
You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood,
and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.
Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her;
happy are those who hold her tightly.
Let us hold
tightly without wavering to the
hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.
“Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are
crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.
What we believe
paves the roads of our lives. What is it
we hold tightly to? Who will be holding
on it us when we struggle?
Through my four and
a half decades I have been on many roads.
Some of those roads were dirt and beautiful. Some roads were paved with concrete or
asphalt. Some of all kinds had
potholes. Some are wide while some are
narrow. Each road is vital to getting
somewhere.
The truth we believe
from God gets us to the place God has planned for us. God uses our pain to mold and direct us. There is more to come.
Hold tight. The verdict is in. God can always and forever be trusted.
People I am praying
for:
Pray for Joan Norman
as she has eye surgery today. Pray for
Larry Wood’s dad as he continues to have heard problems. Pray for Cindy DeOms’ brother Ronnie who is
recently out of the hospital and struggling.
Pray for Janie Brittian’s sister Christina as she battles sickness. Rocky Cobler is still at UVA and waiting for
a transplant; pray for him and his family and for his healing. Pray for Randi Chandler and her sons. Continue to pray for those touched by the
flooding in Louisiana, and pray for their restoration.
