The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Savior's birth!

have sang it many times through my 47 years, and this song continues to touch
my heart. The words, tune and giant
sound and smooth medley pulls at my heart to remember Jesus.
We
are blessed by the gift of Christ that was born that holy night. But I ask you to think about one phrase in
particular.
“Truly
He taught us to love one another. His
law is love and His gospel is grace.”
Powerful
words. It is time to love others. Love those closest to you and those you don’t
even know. Love the people who are
difficult to love. Love even when you
don’t feel like it.

The Savior—yes, the Messiah,
the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! … “Glory
to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is
pleased.”
