Who or what have you neglected? There could be lots and lots of different answers as well as various consequences from what we neglect.
Proverbs 6:20 NLT
My son, obey your father’s commands, and don’t neglect your mother’s instruction.
So, take some time to take inventory on what or who you might have neglected.
If you neglect your spouse, you might not have a marriage to watch over or come back to. That is why we need to stay connected, serve each other and work hard at carrying for each other.
Be careful not to neglect your faith. God died for you and is pulling for you each and every day. Our faith won’t go completely away, but we will get weak and not connecting to what really matters.
Another thing that some people choose to neglect is the Bible, the Word of God. We are blessed. Often we have numerous Bibles, and this age of high tech stuff, many people have the Bible on our phones. By not reading the Bible and holding on tightly to it, we will miss much of what God is saying and even fail without the wisdom He promises each of us who seek Him.
Take care of the blessings that God has given you. Watch over your faith and the Bible. Take care of your relationships and the people you say are important to you.
What is it that you need to confess that you have neglected?
Daniel 6:4 NLT
Then the other administrators and high officers began searching for some fault in the way Daniel was handling government affairs, but they couldn’t find anything to criticize or condemn. He was faithful, always responsible, and completely trustworthy.
May we have much to live up to. May we be found like Daniel especially when the tough times come.
