Yesterday we talked about the verses that some times are taken out of context yet we know that God will use His words. They are meant for our building up, learning, encouragement and drawing us closer to Him.
What verses to you keep dealing with? Yesterday’s were the common ones. Today I share with you the ones I have dealt with for years and keep using, sharing, hearing and holding tight to.
These ought to give you stuff to think about and even some joy to share:
Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 3:2 NLT
Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Proverbs 27:17
As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.
That is just a few. Share the verses that keep coming to you. If I look back over the years I’ve followed Jesus, there are many testimonies that go with these verses. Those experiences and lessons will stay with me forever. Why is that?
Again, God uses the Bible to speak in to our life. His words will not return useless. Trust God and listen up.
Isaiah 55:11 NASB
So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.
