1 John 4:9 NLT
God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.
There are many things that point to how much God loves us, but so many things keep us from seeing God’s goodness, His grace and how much He loves us. How can we overcome what blocks our view?
Spend some time today focusing on God’s love of you. The facts of His loved are laced through Scripture. His love is also one of those truths that the Holy Spirit inside the children of God reminds us of very often. By focusing on God’s love we will see it more and even come to believe it more.
Like the old adage ‘garbage in and garbage out’ by taking in the truth of God’s love we will allow the facts to process from our mind and deeper in to our hearts. By knowing who we are, God’s children, and what is true about us, that we are always loved by God, we will act out this reality.
Think on these things. The fact is, we are loved by God!
Jesus loves me, this I know,
for the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to him belong;
they are weak, but he is strong.
for the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to him belong;
they are weak, but he is strong.
Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.
Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.
Jesus loves me he who died
heaven's gate to open wide.
He will wash away my sin,
let his little child come in.
heaven's gate to open wide.
He will wash away my sin,
let his little child come in.
Jesus loves me, this I know,
as he loved so long ago,
taking children on his knee,
saying, "Let them come to me."
as he loved so long ago,
taking children on his knee,
saying, "Let them come to me."
Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.
Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.
(hymn “Jesus loves me, this I know”)
It is the truth. Take it in!
