Take time each day to interact with the things that make you stronger. There are several of these things that I think are very important. Make a list. Mine is pretty simple.
Family. Scripture. Your purpose. God.
I know there are others, but these are the ones that will help us be better, stronger and even ready to get more done. That is why I ask you to take some time today to spend with what matters most to you.
Our days should could count. Our time can be used well. I am not talking about an issue of being lazy or wasting time. What I am talking is making your life count.
Our greatest fear should not be of failure but of succeeding at things in life that don't really matter. - Francis Chan
That makes a lot of sense to me. Spend your time with the wrong people or the wrong purpose and you will succeed at the wrong things.
In fact if you take some time to think a little more about that spending time with the wrong people and the wrong things will make others fail too. I want to be guy that helps myself and others succeed at the right things.
Take a look deeper into Scripture. Here is one passages that sticks out to me.
Colossians 3:12-15 NLT
Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
Clothe yourself with character: mercy, humility, patience.
Forgive others and yourself.
Remember God and do what He did.
The outcome is peace in my heart and peace for those around me.
That is just a few things things that happen when we succeed at the right things. Right places are important. Time with God is important. Success God’s way has a lot more to do with who you are than what you do. Does that make sense?
