Often I need reminders. You know about that. It is the sticky notes I put in a place where I will see it or the alarm on my phone so I don’t forget something important. Also at times I will ask my wife or one of the kids to remind me of something.
We all need reminders even of things that seem a bit off our minds. Today I want to give you some of the verses I shared yesterday at church in our new series called Classics as we are being reminded of how to have firm faith during tough times.
Nothing changes the greatness of God. Nothing diminishes it or voids it. But we need to know, hold it and tell others. Our God is… sing it How Great Thou Art!!!
Psalm 8:3,9 NASB
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have set in place… Lord, our Lord, How majestic is Your name in all the earth!
Psalm 31:19 NASB
How great is Your goodness, Which You have stored up for those who fear You, Which You have performed for those who take refuge in You, Before the sons of mankind!
Exodus 18:11 NASB
Now I know that the Lord is greater than all the gods; indeed, it was proven when they acted insolently against the people.”
1 Chronicles 29:11 NASB
Yours, Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and on the earth; Yours is the dominion, Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all.
Psalm 136:4 NASB
To Him who alone does great wonders, For His faithfulness is everlasting;
Ephesians 1:19-21 NASB
and what is the boundless greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.
Take it in. Apply it to your life. Remind others. Remember our God is great!
Psalm 92:5 NASB
How great are Your works, Lord! Your thoughts are very deep.
