There are so many things that seem to string together in life and in our conversations. This week’s e-devotions are about the same. We talked about why we serve, how we walk and about being strong. Now, step to our last day of the week.
How do we see things or life or people? Some people have a hard time seeing. Maybe they have a medical issue that keeps them from seeing. Others can’t see because they choose not to look. And others have things that distract them from watching or seeing what is best.
Take some time as the end of the week is here to notice how you see. Pray for the ability to see.
Ephesians 1:18 NLT
I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.
Sometimes we have to see with something that isn’t our eyes. The heart can see especially when God gives the sight. It is vital to let God care for our sight.
Revelation 3:18 NLT
So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see.
The right medicine or lenses open our ability to see. It moves us so much forward that we get to be part of what God is doing and even to be part of His plan.
Psalm 107:43 NLT
Those who are wise will take all this to heart; they will see in our history the faithful love of the Lord.
Wisdom lets us see. Treasure wisdom. It even cleans us so our lenses are able to help us see clearly.
Psalm 40:3 NLT
He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord.
Close it out with something even more important. To see what God is doing, to celebrate what God is doing and close with worshipping Him because our faith has grown.
How we see is a big deal. May we see even more this weekend of God, His praise and His work in our lives as well as those around us.
