We are still working our way through the book of Nehemiah at The Community Fellowship, and this week we looked at chapters 7, 8 and 9 where we were reminded of the incredible accomplishment of the walls of Jerusalem being completed and how important it is to listen to what God says.
Hear what God says and follow Him. To make sure this is the path I am on keep yourself focused on God. The impact of following God changes us and those around us.
Exodus 13:21 NIV
By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.
God provides for His people. He guides them no matter the time, no matter the weather and always. He did it for others, and He will do this for us. But are we following God?
Learn to listen. Keep on following. Walk this truth and know that it is the Word of God, the Bible, that helps us to be aligned with His will and His plan.
Psalm 89:15-16 NIV
Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, LORD. They rejoice in your name all day long; they celebrate your righteousness.
It is the Word of God that keeps us following God and know His truth. Make it part of your daily diet, your daily routine. It will make a difference. You might not see it on the first day, but it will soon will be evident.
Soaking in the word of God is like taking vitamins - over the long haul it provides for your well-being - Tony Evans
There is a reason we are still here and still have an opportunity to enjoy life and make a difference. God’s word will open your mind and heart. It might even open doors or possibilities for those around you.
Exodus 9:16 NIV
But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.
Keep on making much of our God as He is greater than I … HE>i
