Follow along and find the connection in these verses. It might shed some light where there has been much shade.
Isaiah 43:19 NLT
For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
Joel 2:28 NLT
“Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions.
2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
Colossians 2:12 NLT
For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.
There are lots of connectors in each of these verses. Some of them will stick out to you more than others. Some you might have to dig for greater understanding.
But what I do know is that our God does incredible things. I draw your attention to just one of the connectors. It might be the strongest for me in these verses, and for many others. I hang on to this for our church, our family and for myself.
God is doing something new.
That is the connector I see first among others. These things He does are only possible through Him, our miraculous and marvelous God.
He promises to do something new that includes making a way where there was none.
He promises to do something new that leads people to dream dreams.
He promises to do something new that changes our lives.
He promises to do something new making us new and alive.
Check each verse once again and watch how God speaks to you. Take this, and all that you find, in to consideration as you ask God for direction as you follow Him. He will change your life. He has mine, and there is more to come.
