There are so many verses that stick out to me in Romans 8. That is why the last few days we have been looking at the beginning of the chapter pointing to some of the things God is doing in the lives of those who are pursuing Him.
Yes, we are going the same direction another day, but this one will be a little more on the surface. Just the facts, as the guy from that old police show would say.
Here are some of the verses from Romans 8, the entire chapter, that are important to me. Since I am just sharing the verses that mean much to me I will challenge you to go read the entire chapter. Mark the verses that stick out to you. Then, go share them with the people you meet today or later this week. You might even go deeper and study the ones that mean the most to you.
The verses I cling to, quote often, and need the most are these… Romans 8… and go:
Romans 8 NLT
1 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
5 Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.
26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
There are my verses. There is so much more, a lot more, in this chapter. But I wanted to bring you a few that mean the most to me. Check it out for yourself. Dig in. Thank God for all He is teaching you!
