Ephesians 4:15-16 NLT
Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. 16 He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
What would you say to someone who is struggling and finding it hard to have hope?
Think about that question. It is easy to share our opinion. It is easy to point people to some book that you liked or even just to be nice. But our words have the power to change the direction of someone’s life.
Proverbs 18:21 NLT
The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.
There is power in the words we use. Choose them wisely. Use them like a skilled carpenter uses their tools or like a musical artist plays their instrument. Words are important and should make life better lifting us and others.
What should our words be life? Look back at the verses I started with today.
Speak the truth. Speak that truth with love. Those words spoken with love can be used by God to build us up, make us healthy and even to bring people in to stronger relationship with Him and others.
Again, what would you say to someone who is struggling and finding it hard to have hope? Now go share those things, share truth with love, with the people who need it.
