Christmas Fear
Yes. You read that right. It is not about Christmas cheer but fear. Too many people have lots of this.
Fears comes in the times where we are out of control, are unsure of some things or maybe even fear people. It could be a million things that we fear.
What fear does is magnify where we have not let faith and trust in God fully take our hearts and lives. No, christians will never fear, but we should fear less. Why is that?
2 Timothy 1:7 NLT
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
Isaiah 41:10 NLT
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
There are a couple things that God has gifted us with. No, they are not Christmas gifts, but they are gifts that the best Christmas gift has given us. Jesus removes fear through His love and through His presence in our lives.
We can have victory over fear through the peace and victory that are gifts from God. They are ours for the taking. They are also ours for the giving.
Take some time this Christmas season to help yourself and to help others leave fear behind, embrace faith in God and let the peace of God rule our hearts. Remember a couple very important things about our God and His gift to us.
Colossians 3:15 NLT
And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
What rules your heart will run your life!
Luke 2:14 NLT
“Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”
What was said to the shepherds after Jesus was born was also for us! Peace on earth…
Let His peace remove that old thing that tears you a part. Say no to Christmas fear.
