Ways to pray as we continue to move through summer and into this weekend… Let’s spend some time over the next couple days praying for some things where people, some of us, are working through and needing a touch of the hand of God.
Pray for the back2school outreach. Registration begins tomorrow. Pray for students and their families.
Matthew 19:13 NLT
One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him.
Pray for those whose lives have been touched by tragedy in recent days. This could be from a family who has lost a loved one to those impacted by the devastating storms of recent days.
Proverbs 3:25-26 NLT
You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, 26 for the Lord is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.
Pray for those who do not know Jesus and need the hope that comes from living life with purpose and having His peace.
2 Peter 3:9 NLT
The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
Finally, pray that we will know and experience the goodness and grace of God each day. All of us need to have time with God that transforms our lives.
Ephesians 1:18 NLT
I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.
Have a great weekend, and I pray that God will call you, hold you and even use you to help others hear and hold on to our God.
