Luke 22:32 NASB
but I have prayed for you, that your faith will not fail; and you, when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
Who are you praying for? That is a good question. I would like to give you a heart for prayer. NO! That is what God wants to give each of us.
So many things going on. So many people cross our minds. So much happening, and the best way for us to deal with things, situations and people is to pray.
Stop and pray for those who come across your mind. When you wake up in the middle of the night, pray for who is on your mind. Someone drives by you or you see them at the store pray for them.
I believe God is asking His children, you and me, to be spiritually sensitive so that we can pray for others.
Be a person of prayer!
Pray lost loved ones. Pray for students, teachers and administrators as school begins. Pray for those in need and those battling sickness. Pray for your family, neighbors and friends. Pray for a family you know that is struggling.
The list doesn’t stop there, but I will stop.
Prayer connects us to God and helps us remember our need for God and our opportunity to trust in and lean on God. Prayer keeps us sensitive to what God is doing now and in the future. Be a person of prayer!
James 5:16 NASB
Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. A prayer of a righteous person, when it is brought about, can accomplish much.
