reminder from James 1

Today I simply give you a few verses from James and a few comments.   We need reminders.   So here is a reminder that ought to bring us time with the Father and perspective on some of the things going on around us.   Read on… James 1:2-8   NLT For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.  4  So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. 5  If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.  6  But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. influence others in the room

Often we don’t recognize our influence on others.   This could be a powerful influence and example of right or wrong.   Some have been led literally to death by following the crowd while other people have made a huge difference in the world by their choices and their influence. Jesus is a great example of knowing how to use your power to influence others.  In that room He turned terror in to tears.   He turned sadness in to service.   He turned hopelessness in to help more than just the people in the room. John 13:4-5   NLT So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples' feet, drying them with the towel he had around him.   Instead of having His feet washed, Jesus washed feet.  Most people were shocked by this act of humility, but what Jesus did was more influential than we might understand.   His was not a demand for people...
